ClickTale specializes in “Customer Experience Visualization,” which shows businesses how their customers are interacting with their websites. Clients can even watch videos of customers browsing; a little creepy, at least until you compare the practice to watching customers browsing supermarket aisles on security cameras. Yesterday, ClickTale announced a beta platform for mobile analytics. Supposedly, clients will be able to see “every swipe, pinch, tilt and tap,” according to co-founder and CEO Dr. Tal Schwartz. Mobile analytics remain difficult to capture, especially on applications. Yet, mobile advertising has the potential for extreme profitability. The lack of an effective technique for accurately collecting mobile analytics has lengthened the shadow over mobile advertising. Will ClickTale’s new service solve the mobile ad woes of businesses? Once the product goes public, its impact will be more measurable.
